Brembo (fake) brake covers

You would think that putting a cover on there would divert the dust AWAY from the wheel, more so than having just the bare brake in there.

the covers likely hold the dust in. but it seems odd it would be that much. are you sure this happened after the covers or perhaps you just notice it more since you're looking at the covers more? or that the covers are red and you notice it more?

i've seen your pictures in the thread and honestly can't say they look all that bad. they're not real and have the possibility of hindering the stock brakes would be my concern. otherwise sport them and enjoy
i've seen so much worse here on the forum and anyone who is extra lowered/stance is ten times worse for function so tell them to get a clue before bashing you.

A caliper cover directly affects brake temp. They essentially insulate the calipers, a part of the car that certainly doesn't need additional heat.

Cheap plastic covers can melt easily under the right conditions, resulting in bad news. It's as simple as that.

The main thing is that they restrict airflow to the calipers and pads. This builds up heat, and the more heat in the pads, the quicker they wear and the more dust they throw off.

Myself, I'm not a big fan of caliper covers but if you like them don't worry about what other's have to say. As Alex posted, check on them to make sure they are not interfering with normal brake operations and then enjoy them As for the dust, you will have to wash your wheels more often but then I'm doing that with my 6-pot Brembos on my ZHP to keep my wheels clean. Just have fun

I'll trade you my 330 brakes, they don't put off that much dust

I have a set on my ride. THEY ARE SO AWESOME! They even help with brake fade...
