FS: 1989 BMW 325ix coupe automatic 134K miles in NJ

For sale is an enthusiast-owned 1989 BMW 325iX all-wheel-drive coupe. The car has an automatic transmission and 134,XXX original miles. I am the third owner with clear title in hand. The car was my project car and is being sold due to competing priorities.

The exterior color is zinnoberrot, also known as vermillionor cinnabar red. The interior is black leather/vinyl. The car has power windows, power mirrors, power locks, heated seats, and a manual sunroof.

The car was recently restored to full-working order. Everything which needed replacement was replaced. The car is turn-key ready; the engine and transmission are smooth. Air conditioning blows cold, heater blows hot, and heated seats work.

The Good/Maintenance Performed:

All original body panels and paint (VINs all match)

No rips or tears in the seats (minus driver side piping)

Original odometer works (including the reset button) and mileage is confirmed by Autocheck (report on hand ready to share)

No cracks in the dash

Cleaned interior and trunk

Cleaned, detailed, and waxed exterior

New OEM IS rear spoiler painted black with Plasti-Dip

New OEM IS front lip

New OEM front and rear emblems

New OEM rear bumper impact strips

Mirrors were too faded so they were painted black with Plasti-Dip along with front kidney and headlight grills

New keyless entry locking system with 2 Audi-style keyblades

Cleaned mass air flow meter sensor (AFM/MAP), throttle body, idle control valve

New timing belt, timing belt tensioner, water pump, thermostat, OEM front camshaft seal

New valve cover gasket and OEM rocker shaft plugs

Performed valve adjustment <50 miles ago

New air filter (Mann), fuel filter (Mann), spark plugs(Bosch), OEM air intake rubber elbow, OEM hood shock

New OEM oil filter housing seals, OEM oil control valve gasket

Fresh oil change <50 miles ago with Castrol GTX 20W-50 and oil filter (Mahle)

New belts and tensioners for power steering, alternator (also new from previous owner), and AC compressor

New 3000K fog light bulbs, rear parking light bulbs, instrument cluster bulbs and fresh low beam headlight bulbs

New OEM rear automatic antenna and grommet, aftermarket headunit

New OEM fuel pump and O2 sensor relays

Flushed coolant system and engine block twice, burped system of air; new radiator drain plug

Flushed differential fluid twice with Mobil1 75W-90 and new OEM drain plug

Flushed brake fluid through each caliper with Prestone Synthetic DOT4

Flushed power steering fluid twice

Original muffler was swapped out for an OEM replacement with no holes; new exhaust gaskets, nuts, and bolts; no exhaust leaks

Every part that was replaced was kept and all receipts for the new parts are available.

The Bad:

According to Autocheck, the car was rear-ended in 1997 which only resulted in the rear valence being wavy. Perhaps the previous owner attempted to pull out the valence. The rear valence corner on the driver side is also not in good shape, but there are no rust holes or tears so this can be repaired.

The car is 23 year old and there are a few dings and scratches. There are NO rust holes anywhere, not even in battery tray area or sunroof. There is surface rust forming in 4 areas which I will point out to the buyer, none have which broken through the metal yet and are size of a nickel (door corners).

Asking $5,000 and please only contact if you are serious and have cash in hand. No tire kickers or joy rides.

Have you tested the transfer case to make sure it's still working properly?

Yes I have done the jack stand test, AWD is working.

If I did a 5 speed swap I'll have to add another $1000 to asking price
