NAvigation antenna placement?

Just got a Eonon D5113 "AKA, Enco B146" and put it in, but I'm getting bad reception for the GPS.
I tried 3 places, all being under the dash. Behind the cluster, under the center air vent, and above the glove box.

My question now, is where is the best place to run the wire if I place the unit on top of the dashboard? Pics would be appreciated!

I have my GPS antenna behind the interior light cluster, never had a problem with it there.

When I had a dynavin I had mine on the metal support bar in the dash. Sounds look you tried that, though. Check out this video:

Shows how bav sound installed the gps antenna for the Dynavin, which they put on top of the dash. You'd probably get the best reception up there anyway and if you do it cleanly and secure it with a little velcro no one should really notice it.

i put mine in that same spot as you and never had an issue. then again he has a different unit.
but i can see how ontop of the dash in corner should be better.

My car has OEM navi and the antenna is located under the rear package shelf on a little bracket made for it.
You can't see it and it works perfectly. If you lower the HK sub, you will have good access to install your antenna in this location.
