I cant believe I've never seen this thread before... just went through all of it! From beginning to End - just amazing work of talent. Best of luck with what you do!

P.S.
I believe the headlights look funny.. the angel eyes are too far apart.. and the lens of the high-beams looks funky as well.

First of all this is way better than ****** Second of all, please pursuit this amazing talent of yours you will surely be successful and most likely happy! It must be so rewarding putting those renders together after spending countless hours working. This brings me to the question, how much time have you spent estimated on the m3 model so far? I checked out your website and the video of the ferrari vs police m3, simply awesome!

Hey thanks man, Yes thats the magic of 3D, you just cant wait to render the modell you made, but of course the modelling process is the most fun part for me, cause you actually build something from nothing, thats what i like in this 3D business. Even though im not a patient guy in general, but i can sit hours just to build one part like a rim or tire or something. So far i have 6 months raw time work in this whole thing, i found some time to continue with the engine. i will post some progress soon

yes after my first few it got alot easier...

Especially learning how to optimize it all with crease and edge weighting

I see you use max, i use blender..

What raytracer did you use? or was it a plugin for max...the renders are awesome, how long did they take per shot?

i never used blender, i got into max when the R3 was released, that was 7 years ago or more. i found max very good for modelling and with the additional tools in max 2011 which has the integrated polyboost plugin, its really the best. i used maya and modo too but max is the best for modelling.
i use vray for rendering. as far as i know blender has its own rendering engine right?
