No difference between euro and us except the change from ms43 to ms45 with the facelift in usa.

im using the software since the first release and even better then the software itself, is the support from james

You can see what the software covers on the product page. I have not done much with E30 because of the lack of interest. E36 and E46 are already fully supported.

Which DME? If it's a 3.0 it may have MS43. If it's a 4.4 it could have a few different older DMEs. I haven't fully supported the older stuff yet, as there's only a few older DMEs with protocols that are fast enough to support real-time logging. Are you just looking to check and clear codes or what? The much slower protocols really aren't worth buying logging software for, which is why I only support what I do currently.

Any compatible K-Line cable and the OBD2 to 20 pin BMW adapter. They can be found all over including places like http://interfaces4beemers.com

Just bought the software for my MS41! Now it's time to go test.

Is the following the extent of what can be datalogged? It would be extremely helpful to be able to log MAF, Engine Load, and Knock Signal. How can I help you add support for that?

Release of MS41 logging support.
RPM
TPS Voltage

Intake Air Temp
Engine Coolant Temp
Ignition Timing

Lambda Integrator 2

Datalogging speed increase for MS42, MS43, MSS52, and MSS54.
How much did the speed increase by? Is something similar possible for MS41?

I've added LOAD and I will be adding MAF. MS41 is not as good for logging, so the more items I add the slower it will be. That's why it's cheaper.

The speed increased a lot, but that's not something MS41 is capable of at all.

You'll be able to reset adaptations and check/clear codes without a license. If you do clear adaptations be aware that if your engine/components aren't in the best shape it may idle rough after you clear adapts. You can start the vehicle with the throttle down for about 10 seconds to help normalize the running.

OK, thanks. What did you do to increase logging speed for the other ECUs? And why doesn't it work on MS41?

Also, with your program, will I able to select just a few items out of the set to be logged? I don't want to be forced to log everything just because it's there. Sometimes it's better to only long the items one is interested in.

MS41 is older and doesn't have the same options, as you'd expect from the model number.

No. It grabs everything I allow you to log, and it's fast in doing so... just not as fast as MS42 or MS43.
