And you're right about windows 8, the new nokia seems to trounce the iphone 5 in pretty much every way

Calendar events should not always require both a start and end time.
Let me exit FaceTime without ending the call.
Allow the apps toolbar on the bottom of the screen to flip horizontally.
Don't let that damn text alert on the top of my screen disappear before I click on it
Allow me to rename a playlist without deleting it
if everyone who wanted one died

the phone im currently using is older than all of those

Thanks for providing real feedback! Now, as you know, you have the ability to jailbreak your iDevice.

Doing so will bring those tweaks and features to your iDevice. It's worth spending the 30 seconds to do so.

iOS isn't perfect, but thankfully there's a way to make it (more) perfect to each individual's needs.

Idk about the rest, but you can press the home during a facetime call and the call will stay active.
And the text alert stays for like 10 seconds doesn't it? That's not long enough?

Family plan AT&T - does everyone have to upgrade if one person gets this 4G iPhone?

Ie no grandfathering in old plans even if they don't upgrade?

No, everyone does not need to upgrade. Each line has their own data plan and contract date. IIRC, you stay grandfathered in your data plan even if you upgrade to a LTE phone.

Gonna text one of my old AT&T co workers to find out for sure.
