It doesn't, but you clearly don't understand those people who don't want it... And those people who are upset about this clearly are dumb, fat poor people right? So, who's opinion is the best one?

The fact that the majority of those that are saying "Good for new york" appear to be the same fighting for gay rights. It is clearly a right vs left thing here and not really a right vs wrong. Gay Marriage is exactly the same thing. Right vs left, not right vs wrong.

The two issues are easily comparable and both sides support what they think is right. Those for the ban fail to see the removal of free choice and personal responsibility. Those that are against gay marriage want to remove the ability of free choice to others. Both are retarded.

Be careful with that argument. There's a couple guys on here who think that their time in the mean gated communities of America make them experts on what foods are available in the ghetto. Apparently it's completely reasonable to take hour-long bus rides to purchase perishable/frozen goods. The ignorance on here is staggering sometimes.
Sorry. Going to call bs. There is no square inch in this country where there is no supermarket that sells normal food. It doesn't say in the constitution that people need to eat out. They are free to make their own lunch at home.

Sweden, they have what 6 people in the country??? Are they mostly white? Do most of them work? Yea. Stupid and meaningless example. You might as well bring up health on the moon.

Yes, there is plenty of charity. Again, access is an issue.
Charity care. There is plenty of it. You are talking rubbish. There are no poor people in this country period. It is impossible to starve in America. It is also impossible to die on the street in America. YOU have never seen poor people. I assure you, I have.

Spare me the hippie bs. Health education? Another liberal money wasting crock. Like people don't know that McDonald's and a 64oz coke isn't good for them. Spare me.

Alcohol is far worse. Liver damage, drunk driving, that marine video etc. alcohol is the worst substance on the market today but it's legal.

Yes, this legislation is well reasoned and should be in place.

A large soft drink has no reason to exist. The health effects of large serving soft drinks are detrimental. Further, almost nobody is able to accurately gauge the caloric content of most commercially-available foods (which have EXPLODED in size in the recent past). Between the compounding factors of ignorance and availability, the public has PROVEN themselves to not be able to control themselves, to the point of a national health issue. This legislation is absolutely necessary.

To clarify, I don't come at this from an apologist standpoint - I'm an athletic guy with visible abs who has competed in bodybuilding and never struggled with weight in his adult life.

believe it or not, a lot of people actually don't. humans, for the most part, are ignorant and lack self control, and thus the necessity for regulations. i'm not saying i agree with this particular regulation, but regulations are pertinent and necessary in a society. whether you choose to acknowledge it or not, every single aspect of our lives are regulated.

That was taken two years and 20 pounds ago

And I'd far rather be that size than even 25 pounds overweight. FWIW, it's really easy to critique others from behind the security and anonymity of your computer screen

Says the guy who takes every opportunity to criticize fat people, yet should there be a gust of wind over 15 mph you'd likely tip over.

You think I'm at all phased by what CINL has to say? The dude will hate on anything he can because he hates on my political views.

And like they've always said, you can tell far more about someone by what they say about others than you can about themselves....

So sure, CINL can sit behind his computer screen and throw whatever cr@p he wants...
