Bye e46, hello 335i

Soo I'm out of here. Sold my 330ci and picked up an 09 335i coupe black on black 6MT. Love it. I just wanted to shout out to my boy e46mango.

Nice car. Now please get some black grills. I can't stand the chrome, doesn't match anything up front...

Most people can afford a $300 car payment. It's the repair bills on when the HPFP dies and so forth that suck.

please, stop posting misinformed information. The HPFP is covered under warranty up to ***120,000*** miles. I have had zero problems with it over a 40,000 mile span. The turbos are fully covered up to ***80,000*** miles. The car is completely diy friendly, and i have the software to do whatever on it. just as great of a car as my e46 was. Legitimately i can say it has been cheaper to own/maintain my 135 than my e46 325i, not kidding. Just less issues. not to say i didnt love both equally however. i literally had all four pads and rotors replaced for free because , no joke, they squeaked sometimes.

Granted, a lot of it is because i have a phenomenal SA. It is just that speculative commentary.... Comment on real experiences.

Congrats on the new car! Nice choice.

And I agree, the problems with the 135/335 are highly over-exaggerated. The warranty's that BMW provides are great.

Both, absolutely fantastic cars.

there are definitely the instances where somebody gets really really unlucky. one guy on 1addicts, i feel for him haha. but you know thats how it goes with any model really. get one where all of your tolerances are at their bad extremes, made on the wrong day,, etc and it can happen. all said and done though bmw is just an amazing brand. love the car btw.

Congratulations! You're going to love it!

My lease on my 2010 E92 335i is over in April. I will greatly miss it. But I'll finally be able to afford some mod's for my E46 haha.

That's for sure.
Like this guy...thanks to him, all of my friends seem to think my car's extremely prone to snapping rear axles.

And thanks! Love yours too, great color.
My buddy's selling his 135i, he let me take it for a spin and wow...what a car!

Yikes! No sport package? And its the carbon buildup with standard BMW oil and service intervals that gets to high mileage 335s now, not so much the HPFP.

It is pretty!

What oil are 335 owners using? Mines at 27k

The true test of that statement will be when the 135 reaches the age and mileage of your 325.

Nice upgrade there. Clean looking car and hell lot of fun. I have driven a couple and loved it.

Dont listen to all the maintenance stuff. Its under warranty and extend it when its over.
Sometimes I think I should have got the warranty on my car because of the time and money I spend on DIY. Its more of time than money I spend on working on the car that aggravates me.
Its good to own the car and just drive it without having to worry about maintenance. Take it to the dealer and drive even newer loaner, let them take care of everything.
