Vanos will have to deal. It's been like that for a while, it will stay that way for a bit. I have to wait till I have some money, since I'll have the stealership fix it. (Warranty FTW) While it's there, I'll have them complete the inspection2. 700 ****ing dollars.

Its the inspection 2 that costs $700, it includes an oil change iirc. Correct me if I'm wrong, but an inspection 1 is $4-500 as well.

Luckily he bought the extended warranty when he purchased the car, so the vanos is covered.

He'll eventually have the same problem again unless he gets new seals and the anti-rattle kit, since BMW never fixed both of those issues.

Yeah inspection 2 sucks, but it covers fluids and a valve adjustment. I guess thats ok? Whatever. The vanos would be an extra 100 covered by warranty. I'll talk to them about actually fixing the problem since I know whats up.

General consensus for my symptoms are tstat and tsensor. Yay...
