Don't know how uncommon it is....but my brother is left handed and he wears his on the right as well.

Total Sad Panda today. Had to send my Omega DeVille Chronoscope off for repairs. Something's wrong with either the mainspring or the winding mechanism. It'll still hold time but I have to manually wind it to keep it running. One of the things I physically noticed was the the pendulum on the back of the movement spins freely counterclockwise but it sticks when spinning clockwise. I'm not looking forward to the bill, but I'll just have to deal with it.
