I have had the same default hairstyle since the 7th grade and im tired of it.
Its basically like Matt LeBlanc in this pic, maybe a little less spikey and more "tidy". ![]() Last year I grew my hair out and went with a "wild" look which I liked, but it made me realize that my hair is extremely dry and hard to control. I want to experiment with some new styles and products. I used gel for the longest time but just recently switched to Axe shine pomade. I know there has to be better stuff out there I haven't yet heard of. So how do you style your hair? Long/short? Examples? What products, if any, do you use? Im totally clueless in this dept. long hair, i comb with my hands. no gels or sprays etc. johnson's baby shampoo and oily skin ftw
usually it just flows. sometimes i'll twirl it like a haredi. or a simple hair tie. Last edited by k2spitfire; 09-21-2012 at 01:40 PM. |

Isn't that a shaving razor?

When I had my long hair I would comb with hands and use only almond oil (still do even with shorter hair). It supposedly prevents balding and makes your hair shiny and soft as hell! My gf wouldn't stop touching it. |

Garnier has a line of "clean" gel and wax. I switched to it last year and love it. Light, no residue and feels better than other heavier products...

@k2pilot sounds legit, I think a friend told me about their stuff.
@ole77 I have personally had terrible experience with Garnier's shampoos. Somehow my hair would be coarser after the wash/rinse than before it. Maybe their styling products are different

Ice Spiker and some clay I got from the girl that does my hair. I usually just don't do my hair though, it takes too long.

Never really used their shampoos. Wasnt really a fan of their other products either but their clean line is pretty light and doesnt get too crunchy.

Nexus Exxtra Hold gel - available at Walgreens. It's a great all around gel that's not too strong and lasts all day. Hair feels soft to the touch, but stays in place. Not crusty like most gels.

Its the Almond oil. Stuff is amazing bro. Has a light almond scent but nothing revolting or off-putting. |

I comb it and then it dries. Sometimes I wear a hat while it dries.

When I styled my hair I would use this stuff:
![]() Had it similar to Matt LeBlanc but much shorter. Gave a great hold and perfect texture. I hated the stiff feeling of gels and found this to just be a more natural type of hold, has something to do w/ the sea salt I believe. However over the past 6 months I have just buzzed my head w/ a #2 clipper and called it a day. Was hesitant at first, but after doing it realized I didn't have to odd of a shaped head and so much less maintenance and hassle.
