Barely any Paul Mitchell Reformer if I actually put something in my hair.

Luckily I was blessed with amazing hair XD. I change styles about every 6 months. Last 3 have been the GQ esque type part, short messy type hair (think like Frodo in Green Street Hooligans), now I have the banker's type push back aka the douche swoop. Hair grows fast so it's easy to change it up.

Even though it sounds like something a 13-year-old girl would do, your best bet is probably to look through a few magazines and find a hairstyle that you like and think might look good on you. Then take the picture with you the next time you go to see your hair stylist. Maybe get a few different pictures so you can show him/her what you like. Then your stylist can let you know whether those looks would work with your face shape/hair texture/etc.

I just chopped my hair, 12" for Locks for Love, then another 8" to get a tight buzz with a little spiky in the front.
I use Paul Mitchell: Tea Tree Shaping Creme. Nice light hold with a matte finish.

My hair is thick as hell so I just skip all the styling bs and just get it cut short with a 7 guard on top, 3 on the sides. I can wake up and have great hear, low maintenance and looks good. If i go out, or for formal occasions, I throw some gel in it and mess it up a bit and it looks great.
