I think we have a winnar. That sounds along the lines of what I want. One question though, how does it smell? Some products give me a headache. Its old school packaging gives me the vibe that it smells strongly.

It has a wax smell, it's not a strong smell..
I've been using it for years so I'm use to the scent..

2 things I need to warn u about..
It's very strong... U will need to shampoo twice to get it out of ur hair or scrub hard... The 2nd thing is it sticks to ur hands.. The trick is to wipe ur hands with a wet towel...

I've had long hair that I just combed with my fingers and short styled hair that I used Redken Manuever for. Now I just shave my head because my girlfriend said it looks best on me. I would highly recommend the Manuever. It smells great, holds well even though it doesn't have that sticky feel and goes a long way because you only need dime size portions each time. My friends would either use that (for the most part everyone I knew went to the same barber) or the Murray's.
