I just stated the facts. I left out the editorializing.

Got this delivered from an ebay auction today. Paid $160 for it. I wanted the 9500ix, but I cant find an honest seller to transfer the online registration info. Now I am waiting for the hardwire kit to arrive in the mail. Click image for larger version

I'm a big guy 6'3. And found the br 01's too big and gaudy. This is perfect size and flies under the radar (no pun intended). I knew I was going to buy a watch yesterday, it was in the window. I've always wanted a B&R as my first automatic purchase. Retail was about 4900$ I paid 4250 tax in. Keep in mind we have a 14.5% sales tax

Every birthday, I will buy myself a watch. That's my deal with myself.

this one is next

At first I too was excited to get a B&R watch, but I started lookin in to them and they used a very generic ETA movement(swatch group)... Bit of a let down for a "premium watch" company.

I was fine with that, the 3 disks moving is what sold me. And I love the feel of it on my wrist. I want to buy a zenith with the el primero movement also.

I really don't mean to crap on your purchase but 1) it's 46mm of black metal & rubber - it's not inconspicuous at all and 2) if you have any intentions of ever selling it, wear it for a year and then get out while you can still get some money for it, as it's complete novelty.

robbing with a sword is a good thing

won't sell it. And only those in the know will recognize the watch. It's not a shiny rolex or breitling that everyone knows. That's what I meant by under the radar.
