Koni STR.T's rear shocks on 330ci M-SportII REVIEW
well i have a 330ci msportII eurospec
equivilant off the 330 zhp from america so i have msport suspension, rubbers, swaybars etc like all e46 cars my left rear shock died on me al the oil leaked out, it was like driving an old american car those that sways a lot you know them i went online and searched a lot eventually i ended my search at koni koni yellow koni fsd konu str.t yellow very expensive fsd mixed reviews str.t's not a lot reviews (that why im doing one now) but the ones that are reviewed were positive so i went for the str.t's i diy it all myself you HAVE to put new bumpstops and the rest a choice like the mounts because mine were fine after almost 200.000 km's but replaced them anyway now the ride simple and shot in the beginning they were stiff but when you break them in they get softer after 600km they are good quality shocks but they sway after a speedbump on the road body roll is not bad, but there is still more body roll then the oem msportII rear shocks so all and all koni str't's good/ a imporovement for a normal e46 but not great for a msportII or zhp because oem zhp or msportII is stiffer hopefully this helps the people who are dangeling between str.t''s and oem/whatever

Thanks!
I will probably buy a full set of Koni STR.Ts for my '00 323Ci with the early sport package (larger sway bars than ZHP/M-sport II etc) and see how that works The STR.Ts might be similar to the early sport shocks then if they are not stiffer than the ZHP/M-Sports.

I will agree that the STR.T's are not much of an improvement from OEM ZHP from experience. Koni Yellow's may be more expensive but they are FAR SUPERIOR than the STR.T's. I just recently went from STR.T's to Yellows and they are SO much better.

![]() The STR.T's are a great & affordable alternative over OEM and feels fine but the Yellows feel completely different... I'm not exaggerating either.

Thanks for this! My left rear shock just gave out on my ZHP coupe and looks like I will be going with the Koni yellows. I have UUC springs and sachs "stage 3" struts on the car now.
just hoping i can reuse my UUC springs (they have 100k) miles on them. I really dont want to spend $1000+ for a coilover setup. so if i I can get away with Koni Yellos w/ my UUC springs, I will be happy. need to save money for a new clutch. at 125k, my OEM clutch isnt feeling all that great. |

thanks.. what do you have your yellows adjusted to? even for my DD, i'd like my ride to be on the firmer side. Should I adjust all they way to max stiffness? Middle? something in between?
