coating for floor?
I may not be even asking the right question but I removed the carpeting from my home and embarrassingly enough there is a cat piss stain that doesn't smell that pleasant and I was told I can coat with some sort of polyurethane or something. I have no idea what I need but I'm assuming lowes should have it. Does anyone know what I need?

They make it.
Try cleaning it first. Bleach, etc. HD or Lowes should have something. They have paint that will hold in fire damage smell, so I am sure there is stuff for floors.

Ok? Cut out the floor, subfloor and even joist if you have to and replace. Trust me. NOTHING will get the smell out. It will return Cut the wood out and replace

I wouldn't replace the joist, but replacing the affected subfloor boards is a very good idea. That ish lasts forever. |

So last night I dumped this pee pee gone stuff on the spot and it smelled awful. I was freaking out like I ruined my house and this morning there was no smell at all and the "spot" seemed to go away a bit.

Interesting.
I never even thought about wood subfloor as I have a one story and my floor is concrete. Good luck.

How did the install go? I'm just wondering because I'm looking into doing a laminate wood flooring DIY as well. I have a few questions if you don't mind haha
1) Where did you get the flooring from and how much? 2) Did you get flooring with the pad attached, and how thick? 3) Did you remove the baseboards and them attach it again? Any general advice? |

Get it with the pad. So much easier. Just lays right down. It's not too thick. I can take more pics later. Here's the one part of the dining room. I didn't take the baseboards out either |

Nice, that looks pretty good. I'll look for options with the pad attached if it makes my life easier
