Cheer up. I don't think the instructor really means it.

I was talking to an SA about weird color combos (conversation was sparked by an ugly custom e92 in service) and he said the ugliest one he's seen was one all the guys at the dealership refer to as "baby shĄt green/yellow." I asked if he meant Phoenix Yellow and his response was "that's the one!"

Kalim, the master tech came out and said the injector noise is typical of the M56. Apparently the larger injectors they run are just noisier.
I still find it interesting that with the same 2.5L block, it has a larger intake diameter and higher flow injectors than an M54. Makes you wonder what kinda power it'd make with a good tune and one less set of cats ![]() Apparently the pressure bleed off is also normal. He said there's a purge valve in the pump. He said on rare occasions the valve can go bad but starts will take on the order of 5+ seconds. The fuel tank filling issue is an issue they're gonna look into though. |

I think he meant the non-return valve in the pump. The system should bleed off pressure slowly. It should fall 0.5 bar or less within 20-30 minutes of the pump being switched off.
