For some reason, Japan has really good drivers, but the rest of asia drives worse than the stereotypical asian driver in the US. It's like they are driving with their eyes closed over there.

Because most asian country don't have nice flat freeways like Japan. So most asian countries are only used to low speed driving + lots of traffic , which doesn't really imrpove your driving skill much.
