So since I'm selling my car (actually have a very serious buyer at the momment) I decided I was going to need to find a new way to get my track fix. Well I found a solution.

I already own GT5 for PS3 but last night I bought F1 2012 and ordered iRacer (for PC) and finished my order off with this.





I'm now trying to find a 6 speed that will work with all of it, which I will use when I'm not playing F1.

This wheel and pedal setup is legit, here's the spec sheet.

I will be running the video through my Samsung 55" but I need to buy a headset. From my understanding and from talking to people I should be able to run the iRacer from my laptop.

You better believe that atleast the first time I'm gonna be in a suit, shoes, gloves, and a helmet mashing around the Austin, Tx. GP circuit.

Logitech G930 wireless headset is the one I have and it is awesome! Highly recommend, unless you're gonna use surround sound with the TV.

No surround sound but I really want something that will fit under my helmet. I'm trying to make this as real as possible. Fa sho brah.

IEM (in ear monitor) headphones would probably be best.

let ruben and me know how that goes with your laptop. we can hook you up with something a little more worthy.

Its ps3 compatible but not xbox. The Thrustmasters company makes a ton of setups though. From what ive read this is the best wheel/pedal combination for f1 games and sense i also plan on doing some gt racing it will work with that to.

I tried playing f1 today with the remote on the hardest settings and i just couldnt get the car to work right. I cant wait to try it when i get the wheel. You can set it up to do full qualifing or short and full and short races. I plan on wakin up every saturday and doing a full knock out qualifing and a 2 hour long race. Just as if i was doing the real thing.

Yeah the PS3 controller is the deal breaker for me. But, personally, Forza >>> Gran Toruismo

Never heard of those IEM earbuds, but that would certainly work better under a helmet...I cant believe you're gonna be sitting in your living room in a race suit and helmet...hahaha

Really??? The xbox remote is exactly why i dont use mine.

Forza is a more fun game with its endless customizing but as far as driver sims go i would take gt any day of the week.

Never looked into them, I prefer over the ear setups like my G930...for portable earbuds I just have some random cheapos that hurt my ears really bad, lol.

Spend like $40 and you could have something really comfortable with very tight bass and extremely good sound isolation...
