So since I'm selling my car (actually have a very serious buyer at the momment) I decided I was going to need to find a new way to get my track fix. Well I found a solution.
I already own GT5 for PS3 but last night I bought F1 2012 and ordered iRacer (for PC) and finished my order off with this. ![]() ![]() I'm now trying to find a 6 speed that will work with all of it, which I will use when I'm not playing F1. This wheel and pedal setup is legit, here's the spec sheet. •Replica of the Ferrari F1 2011 racing wheel, the “Ferrari 150th Italia” •Full-size replica with scratched-brushed metal facing •Rubber-textured wheel boasting a realistic and comfortable grip •2 rotary knobs (to adjust car settings directly during the race), 3 metal switches, 8 professional quality action buttons and 2 D-pads responding to realistic pressure •Two available game modes: •Normal” mode, PC and PS3 compatible (offering 13 action buttons and 3 D-pads) •“Advanced” mode, PC compatible (offering 25 action buttons and 1 D-pad) •Genuine F1 “Push & Pull” scratched-brushed metal sequential gear shifters •Detachable wheel featuring the “Thrustmaster Quick Release” system (enabling future upgrades) Pedal Assembly Specs •Unique design(*) offering 2 selectable positions – F1 or GT styles •1: Suspended position (GT-style) •2: Floor-mounted position (F1-style) •100% metal for optimal stability (weighs over 7 kg!) and resistance •3 100% adjustable pedals (width/height/slope) •Brake pedal with reinforced and adjustable resistance (included and removable “Realistic Brake” mod) •Included metal footrest with non-slip grating texture •* Innovative H.E.A.R.T HallEffect AccuRate Technology™(*) on the wheel's steering •Ultra-precise racing wheel, 16-bit resolution! Ultra-precise racing wheel, 16-bit resolution! (65,536 values on the steering). •Precision that won’t decrease over time (contactless magnetic sensor) •Force feedback technology featuring an industrial-class motor (150 mNm torque, 3000 rpm, 65 W, Ø52) •Super-powerful and quick responding force feedback mechanism •Rigid motorized stopper, no matter what angle of rotation you select •Adjustable rotation angle (40 to 1080°), motorized stops •Mechanism with large dual belts •Fluid and smooth action •Silent system •Upgradable internal memory and firmware

I will be running the video through my Samsung 55" but I need to buy a headset. From my understanding and from talking to people I should be able to run the iRacer from my laptop.

Logitech G930 wireless headset is the one I have and it is awesome! Highly recommend, unless you're gonna use surround sound with the TV.

I tried playing f1 today with the remote on the hardest settings and i just couldnt get the car to work right. I cant wait to try it when i get the wheel. You can set it up to do full qualifing or short and full and short races. I plan on wakin up every saturday and doing a full knock out qualifing and a 2 hour long race. Just as if i was doing the real thing.

Never heard of those IEM earbuds, but that would certainly work better under a helmet...I cant believe you're gonna be sitting in your living room in a race suit and helmet...hahaha

Forza is a more fun game with its endless customizing but as far as driver sims go i would take gt any day of the week. Gotta be legit bro. Lol, i may do it the first time but i doubt any more than that.

Never looked into them, I prefer over the ear setups like my G930...for portable earbuds I just have some random cheapos that hurt my ears really bad, lol.

Spend like $40 and you could have something really comfortable with very tight bass and extremely good sound isolation...
