Exclamation Airbag & Outside Light Malfunction

Hi Guys,
I have two e46's one 320D and one 320i both from 2005. Both cars have suddenly started showing the airbag light. The light comes and goes. I took one to the dealer, he took 30 euros, and it was gone for a day and came back again. Is there something I can do about these?
My second problem is that the 320i has a small red right rear light malfunction indicator on. I have checked and all the lights work (2 bulbs in each rear light), headlights work, indicators also work. I took it to a (non BMW) dealer and he said he was not sure (which worried me a little). Is there something I can do to fix it? What can it be?any help would be appreciated.
