excluding carbon ceramic of course! they're pressed into molds... like an Altoid.
yes the chamfer could be the damming clue to humble my previous theory. I took some pictures, but it was after dark, and my wifes point and shoot just can't capture the detail. i'll get some good ones up though...

Yep, carbon ceramic brakes on the Bugatti. A set of which probably cost more than any of our cars...

For effectiveness just go with oem unless you use an outgassing pad like Pagid. If you want them to look cool and don't mind a bit of growling sound when braking, get slotted.

I tried the whole slotted, drilled rotors with axis pads. But couldn't stand the increased noise, vibration, and harshness I was experiencing. I went back to stock rotors and pads and am much happier now. Yeah there's more brake dust.. But then I found Sonar wheel cleaner. A
