Can be done without but it looks ugly and ruins the interior. Might as well pay a bit more and get the proper relocation unit. Mind you, it needs to be the correct version that suits your car.

done it without the relocation frame...
not that i'm cheap but its hard to get it here...

With the relocation unit there are no gaps as you can see at the bottom and the HVAC clips in perfectly like it came from factory.

Jason at Eurodivision can sort you out if you're keen on dynavin. Send him a pic of your dash and he will let know what you need.. From memory the relocation kit is around $50 and its worth it to keep it neat..

Just looks like a cheap version of a dynavin with rip off software and layout. Would be ok but don't expect it to be amazing or you will be let down.

I would recommend to seek an OEM 16:9 unit, then acquire Audison BitOne sound processor and a good set of component speakers, i.e. Focal K2 Power or Utopia. Factory look, class leading SQ.

While the Focal's are an outstanding speaker (I use utopia Be's in my XR6T) they will require a significant amplifier upgrade over factory to drive them efficiently. Also considering the mounting depth of the focal units the OP will either need to cut his door panels and fit aftermarket pods or have custom panels built for the lower half of the door panel.

Dynavin is perfect for satnav, Bluetooth etc. If you are considering spending money on speakers amps subs etc I wouldn't go with dynavin. I'd go something like a flip out alpine. If you don't plan on seriously upgrading the sound system then dynavin is perfect as a 'stock' substitute.

100% agree, the Utopia Bes are probably the best speaker I've had the privilege of listening to, they would require something much more competent than the OEM amplifier. I know their K2 Power line has a 'slimfit' speaker with a smaller mounting depth, could be an alternative...

Congratulations anyway on the great setup in the XR6T, I'm sure you love it!

Will you be using the high-level in's on the bit ONE? Out of the stock amp's speaker outs?

This is coming from an Alpine fanboy... yes, Alpine isn't really audiophile stuff anymore, but a lot on these forums keep recommending Dynavin, so don't listen to them anyway.
