If your actions and vehicle are 100% compliant with the law and MVC, your rights are being violated and the officer is committing a crime against you.

If your state requires a front plate and you don't have a front plate. Are you honestly questioning why you're getting pulled over?

You openly admit your car is a cop magnet. No front plate, loud exhaust, No registration, and a banner. The only thing you're missing is front tint

My car currently has a loud exhaust I have tint on all 6 windows of the car. 15% all around and 55% on the front. I have smoked corners as well. My car defiantly turns heads when I drive by local leo's. When they pull me over I'm respectful also, as you stated you are as well. However I can't complain when the leo is just busting my balls lol. I hate it, but I can't get mad because at the end of the day I'm violating local laws.

I think if you had a current registration and fixed the issue with your license the leo wouldn't have busted your stones about the banner and front plate. Clear corners is a new one though.

In my state they are allowed to be clear or amber colored and blink white or amber. Most corners are DOT certified as well.

Good luck to you. I would just recommend that you straighten some of the "Silly" things out and I think you will have a more peaceful driving experience

This is registration we are talking about, not inspection. The sticker in the front windshield is for inspection which is not what the OP said he got ticketed for. The Officer would only be able to give out a ticket once he saw he had no registration card but not because he had no inspection sticker... That's the case in NJ anyway, but i totally agree. I have gotten pulled over for no front plate and tints multiple times, but it depends on the Officer. You obviously have one thats on the lookout for you now. As far as your license and registration, i'd get that cleared up asap. Best of luck.

docket will read "state of california vs. op." call it what you want, but enforcement comes from the CVC.

does he really sound that credible? he admittedly drives a "cop magnet" yet claims to be within the CVC. yea, right.
exhausts are not legal in california unless they meet a specific decible rating. he admits it is loud. assuming by what a reasonable person would consider "loud," his exhaust is likely not legal.

We live in Cali, just bring lube next time. I've been pulled over for an obstruction of view because of a tiny crystal cross on a clear fishing line hanging off the rearview mirror. A cop told me he can ticket me for my tennis racket in the back seat as a weapon. Another time, they told me I had an ugly haircut. lol. I just think most of them have power trips and can do whatever the fk they want. That is how they operate here especially if you have a modified car so just learn to deal with it. Your citation for oversized sunglasses is pretty funny tho. Were you wearing a yellow suit by any chance?

Guess other poster was right. Car was inspected previously and found to be within confines of the law, including a decibel test on the exhaust.

I've had plenty of run ins with police officers, perhaps due to the nature of the car or otherwise, they have all been very polite and not circled my car like they are an inspection officer. This particular officer seems to have a stick up his ass considering I was pulled over for something trivial like this. If I was speeding and actually presenting a danger, sure, ticket me. Pulling me over for sunglasses and a window sticker, cmon.

We're car people here, this isn't a purse forum, we modify our cars and enjoy them. It seems you choose to side with the officers who ticket us for enjoying our cars, more power to you brother, maybe this isn't the forum for you.

Exactly what I am going to do. It's just an inconvenience.
