That ruckus is NOT stock. Probably has about $2k into it and still looks like the turd I dropped this morning.
I would be ABSOLUTELY embarrassed to ride that thing in daylight.

to expensive for me though, and the ruckus gets much better gas mileage right?

Dont get a Honda man.. rather opt for a newer E46 with lower miles and better maintenance

Yeah but the ruckus does a 4 minute quarter mile. The 250 is a real motorcycle.
You'll have to research the figures but the 250 gets super good mpg.
I only get about 50 on my 600 but I ride it somewhat hard.

I'm not really looking for power though haha we have different tastes man. I just want something cheap that will give me really good mpg. I'm all about cruising.

What needs to be modified to fit the wider wheels?

check out the honda ruckus forum.. they are fun, but they are slow. they look cool but you will have to swap out the motor to get any kind of respectable accel. out of them, especially with an extended swing arm and fat tire in back.

Have fun. No matter what you do to it, it's a moped. Designed for people who get DUIs and highschool freshman

See it get's you chicks^ haha just kidding, the only thing i'm worried about right now is that I have two big hills to leave my area. Would a 49cc motor be able to get up them? The only way I guess I could find out is by doing it but I don't know of anyone that has a 49cc bike to test on it

Buddy of mine has one and it doesn't look that great. And costs more than a ruckus.
I like personally the ruckus because is like a canvas, you make it your own and you create your own style.

Should be able to rent one pretty cheap. I rented a 49cc aprilla bike and it did pretty good.

There shouldn't be a reason why it wouldn't take you up a hill unless you're either 300 pounds or the hill is just crazy.
They're fairly peppy. Just don't expect to go up the hill very fast. You won't be able to hit 40 up a hill.
Weight makes a big difference. Weight even makes a huge difference on my 600

I'm 210 trying to get to 220 so I guess i'll be fine haha. I guess if you imagined the steepest street in san francisco and then made it three times as long, that would be my hill.

Hmm you might have a issue. Probably not but I really don't know. I've ridden 50cc dirt bikes and I'm not sure if they'd pull that weight up that hill.
Look more into that
And before you ask, yes a 250 would fly up that hill and still be way better than that moped haha
