Window / Glovebox Clicking HELP!!!!

So, last week, my drivers side vent window started opening by itself. I would close it and a few minutes later it would open back up again. Now, I'm hearing this annoying random clicking coming from my glovebox and occasionally from my vent window. I've pulled the relays in the glove box, noise remains. Disconnect the plug for the windows, noise stops. Can someone please tell me what the problem is? Thanks in advance.

What relay in the glove box?

Sounds like the window switch is intermittently making contact and opening the window. Try plugging the window itself back in and disconnecting the switch block on the driver side. If that fixes the problem replace the switch.

It sounds like a relay is clicking, so without knowing (now I do) what the relays in the glove box controlled, I pulled them individually to see if the clicking stopped. It didn't. Where is the switch block for the rear drivers side vent?

The switch I located on the left side of the gear shift.

I think you mean relays behind the glove box. Here is what those relays are for http://www.bmwgm5.com/e46_relays.htm

Oh, the switch itself. Duh! I think my IQ just dropped a few points. Thanks for the relay info. Hopefully it's just the switch. Thanks again.
