do you really wana know who drove up the prices? good old crooked americans it's called the futures market, the scumbags manipulate the prices to make their bets pay off, much like insider trading................read up kids The futures market allows traders to bet on whether the price of gasoline, or any commodity, will rise or fall on a date sometime in the future. Traders that hold long positions are predicting that the gas price will be higher on a specific date in the future; traders holding short positions are predicting the price will be lower on that date.
