Front Bumper removal question
So I followed this DIY http://www.e46fanatics.com/howto/how...hp?howto_id=41 and I'm to the point we're I'm removing the bumper, but it seems like the T-50 bolts, which I have loose, are catching on something. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to pull the t50s or what. this is just becoming a bitch to get off. If anyone has any pointers, chime in.
I'm putting an OEM Mtech II on after I get this bumper off. |

Put the bumper back on to the point where you can tighten the t50s back up then loosen them up and they should just dangle the free to move the just pull them down and they should come out

that's where I'm at right now; I have them loose and they're dangling free. When I go to slide the bumper forward, I hear them "ping" and they're obviously hitting something because they're slightly cocked.

Ok you need to pull them out when they are free and not cocked. You reach up in there and pull them completely out and let them fall through the access holes

there's a little white collar that has three prongs on it that's keeping them in. Will I Have to break that?

Alright, I removed the t-50s. It is still very limited on how far forward it will go.

Did you ever get it off? Make sure you have all the screws out (couple on the bottom couple in the fender well) then it should come off mine is usually tight when trying to pull it, it works better if you have someone on each side working it back and forth

I experienced the same problem, as the diy did not make it clear that the 2
T50 must be removed, and to do that you need a longnose pliers to actually wiggle and pull them down, they do not just drop out. |

It takes some patience and do your research. I am finally getting down to the final install on mine. It made it so much easier taking everything off. I finally got the front end repainted and didn't want to mess anything up.

Yeah, I got it off a few minutes after my last post. just needed to pull a little harder. The bumper ended up just popping off after a good hard pull.
