I downloaded an awesome Remote Desktop app. I've heard how smooth it is and I had to try it for myself. Accessing my MBP through my iPhone was great. I can only imagine how well it works on a larger tablet like the ipad or nexus 7. It's usually $10, but it's on sale for $1 right now.

It's called Splashtop. Get it while it's on sale!

Yeah that one's pretty neat. I can even open up CS5 when I'm away from home. Only thing is I can't watch the movies stored on my HD through the app, but whatevers.

Since...beginning of September? The movies actually play fine, but there's some discrepancy with the sampling rate of the outgoing audio, and even if I lower the quality on my laptop, there's still no sound coming through on the iPad.

Hmm, one of the things that I read about the new version was that the sound works flawlessly (in general, I don't know specifically about watching movies). Maybe that's a problem that they fixed?

It's so nice out, sunny and 70F. Perfect cruising weather, if I a) had my car with me and b) it was working, I would be out for a long cruise in a heartbeat...
