Big brake kit ADVISE NEEDED - Page 3

sorry to hijack but im just wondering i got a 320 ci facelift coupe and wanted to know what is the biggest rotor i can go?
will i need to change my calipers ?

All depends on your wheels and the inner rim diameter.

When bleeding brakes make sure you do the corner furthest from the brake master cylinder first, followed by second furthest etc...

EG: Brake master cylinder is near the drivers door in the engine bay, you should do rear-left, rear-right, front-left, front-right.

135i brakes aka. BMW Performance brakes from the E9X (as linked on the ECS site) aka BMW 6 pot Brembos are very good street brakes, good for occasional track use, but for lots of track use I wouldn't recommend them. The pistons in them are prone to cracking under high heat too.

Best advice given so far. Large brakes can only pull up as much rubber will allow it to. Bigger and more ventilated brakes just help reduce brake fade when consistently pushed hard.

Yeah this is a popular upgrade. Good price too! I'm still looking to get a set and thinking I'll get the ecs set.

I think I have those on my rears, pretty nice calliper..great price for $750.

Very good price, make sure you will clean the pistons and check if any leak before you use them,

What's the rotors size? I hope they don't look the same as stock. yes you will see how different between stock brake 1piston vs 4 pistons. if you need any help i'm happy too

No the rotors are huge. I was tol by the guy who i bought them from to buy hawk pads and racing fluid as well otherwise it would be a waste.

Not to sound negative, but unless your racing your car. Their a waste anyways, unless your just after the look. In which case no need to get anything better than stock pads and fluid. What size rotors are they?
