Veyron vs Corvette on Track
My dad sent me this video. Apparently the guy in the Corvette (C5 Z06) is one of my dad's partners from work. Kind of a cool video. You don't see the Veyron until the start of the second lap.
You can definitely see the ways in which both cars handle the corners differently. Same guy, same Z06, Same track (no traffic)

There's a few $s of hardware at that event, huh?
With the traffic and as much as they seem to be taking it easy, it's hard to say much about how they handle. That OBDA overlay on the video is really cool. Love that the g-meter goes to 3. LOL That looks like a fun track and the surface seems to be in great condition. Nice vids, thanks for posting.

The overlay on the video is awesome. I'm really surprised at how quick the veyron actually is around a track. Always knew it was straight line ridiculous, but it certainly is no slouch in the corners.
By the way, was your dad going at it on the first video? It certainly didn't look like it...

It's cool to actually see one at the track and not just driving to the VMAs.

Looks like in this event, the corvette and everyone else is taking it easy and just practicing on their line of driving.

Nice vids.
That's New Jersey Motorsports Park, Thunderbolt track - Millville, NJ. They have 2 tracks on the grounds, Thunderbolt (in the vid) and Lightning. Both are super fun to drive. www.njmp.com |

Very, very frightening...
I swear, I never put that together. The Thunderbolt track is named for the Thunderbolt air squadron that was stationed on that property when it was a military airport. There is an active community airport still operating directly next to the track. It's a really cool place to go and spectate - lots of great club and pro racing (Grand Am was there the past few years, not coming back next year unfortunately) and cool small jets and helicopters taking off and landing next door. |

Look up the fastest track time for a vette on the German track I believe it is. I'd like to see a veyron pull through a turn at 90mph. It won't happen

I bet on a gentle sweeping turn the Veyron would be able to easily do 90mph.
