Looking for a good after market radio
Hello everyone. First I would like to say how much I appreciate this site and all the great post and forums that is on here. This website is EXTREMELY helpful.
Now, I am looking for an aftermarket radio that is touch screen that AUTOMATICALLY switches the screen to the back up camera without having to manually do it on your own. I have searched and searched but I am unable to locate one. I have a clarion touch screen unit in my 328 and you have to always manually put it on video when you are about to switch into reverse (annoying) . So can you please help me? Thanks Last edited by Icuh8tn; 10-04-2012 at 09:41 PM. |

Dynavin may do this? I'm surprised clarion does not have a reverse sensor wire, did you hook it up yourself or did someone else?

Me and a buddy of mine hooked it up. The clarion is kinda old so it didn't have that option for us to hook it up like that but all the radios I looked at doesn't do it automatically either.

The Pioneer navigation radios do, as do all the aftermarket navigation radios that have a rear view camera option, that I have seen. (I haven't looked at the BMW specific aftermarket nav units.)

If funds allow, go with Dynavin.

Yeah, Pioneers do for sure. Alpines and Kenwoods as well. These are the upper tier units. But to install these, you need to do the sub dash modification to the a/c duct behind the factory deck.

Go for dynavin, they're the best out there, and require medium kills to install.

If you REALLY just asked that question, you REALLY shouldn't be messing with it.
