My Hawk HP Plus brake pads abnormally squeaky? Yes, Yes, I know these pads are known to be a little loud. I installed mine three weeks ago, and these suckers are LOUD. I have people yelling at me at stop lights "Hey man, it's time for a brake job!!" Is this normal? I pretty much get every kind of screech there is, plus a few humm sounds, and only at low speeds. I did put anti squeal on them (multipul times) and nothing helps.

Try re bedding them. It's helps a a lot with these pads. Mine were toast after two years on my old 330ci. I too had a lot of metallic noise with those pads and zimmerman rotors. I recall actually like those cheaper akembono pads over the HP.

Had them on my e36 M3 with TMS rotors and made noises everyday. Buddy also has them on his sti, same deal. Unsure of rotors though. They stopped the car really well though.

Those pads are known to be loud.
Try applying a crap ton if anti squeal to the back of the rotor. This should help a lot but those pads are never meant to be quiet.
