Thanks for all the help guys. I think Im going to pass on the car unless I can get a really good deal on it. I won't give him 16 or anything close to that because of the title. He sent me some more pictures that I will try and post on here for you all. My mouth did water when I looked at them lol.

OP, ignore the drama queens. I got a good deal on my car, easily $5K less than others cause of its accident history (8 claims!). It will take a lot of repairs to outweigh $5K of savings.

This particular car is 5 years since being rebuilt, so any serious issue should have surfaced by now.
Yes, and this may be precisely why the owner is attempting to unload it.

Oh the drama. That may be why any owner is unloading any car, that's why you get it inspected.

My Ride: 2001 325i
sometimes its stupid how they judge the cars to be salvaged though, i got my 01 325i for 2.5k and the only thing i ended up fixing was the hood and one headlight, never had any problems, a year later my buddy bought a 330ci for 3k which was driven into a ditch, his hood was damaged, windshield cracked and roof scratched, he has had no problems either

Agreed, with those who arent so quick to judge a salvaged car, but it is smart to have educated reservations...

I bought my first 325i for 11,500 and 3 years later no one would pay me more than 3,500 on a fixed tittle. Worst decision .. DON'T DO IT . Not even if its an M3

I would only recommend buying a salvaged vehicle if you purchase it while its still damaged. this way you know exactly whats been done to the car and you can get it for ridiculously cheap since it needs a bunch of work.
