It all depends on how long you have been with your cell service... It sounds like he has Verizon or Sprint.

I have an individual AT&T plan and I pay $85, tax included, for 3GB LTE/ unlimited text / 450 rollover (which I have 4,281 minutes of lol)

How the hell do you only pay $58 for yours?? Are you on a group plan or individual?

Replacing the screen is now incredibly easy. They went back to the "top-down" construction on the 5, like the 3g and 3gs, unlike the 4 and 4s where you had to take out the motherboard and all (which I've done over 50 times and it's not fun each and every time).

Screen will probably go for 70-100 bucks and you can look up a tutorial on youtube on how to do it...If you are at all good with small electronics it's an easy 3/10 on scale of difficulty.

Sorry about your phone... But you should have put a case on it man!

Honestly, I did the same thing, I ordered a case on ebay pre-order and STILL haven't received it...Well, I felt like I was going to have sh*tty luck and drop it, so turns out I had a gift card to best buy and just bit the bullet and spent 30 bucks on a Griffin Reveal last weekend.

Got my screen protectors early though.

I just got it last year and I have AT&T. I had to get unlimited talk and text. I send like 1,500 texts a month and talk around 2,000 minutes a month.

Yea, you must have lots of business calls on your phone? I hardly use 200 minutes a month. Texts on the other hand I'm around 3,000, unless I text many iPhone users, then it's lower... Data about 1-1.5GB unless I'm traveling a lot.

Can the iPhone5 OS6 be downgraded to OS 5.1 (..or whatever it's labeled)?

I don't have unlimited talk, but it's as if I did. We can't use up the 450min/month and it rolls over every month. I have so much rolled over that they expire before I can use them.
I do have unlimited txt. For the whole family.
I have 5 phones. Each has 200MB data plan. I refuse to pay for more. Kids need to learn to interact with people face-to-face.
I pay $130/month.

I disagree... You have a family plan, they are always a better deal than individual plans, all individual plans that aren't garbage are right around $100/mo. He's not getting ripped off, ALL individual plan users getting ripped off!

Your best bet is to get on an employee Everything Plus plan (..formerly SERO) if the discount is anything less than 20-25%.

i have about 6 or so very very small scratches on my screen. i've babied this phone like no other and also have a case on it.
have no put it in my pocket with anything.

the quality of this phone seems to be sub par. it's disappointing.

Its somewhere between 20-25%, I don't know the exact number. I am the only one on the account and with 450 land line minutes, free text, cell to any cell any carrier, and unlimited data its 72.xx a month after taxes and fees.

And for people on the SERO plan, you cant get a phone until its on the market for 5 months. Its also a 24 month upgrade system.
