Agreed that, judging from only the pics, this is in very good used condition with only minimal wear. These are the kinds of cars people who know cars look for. You can pretend like you are one of these prissy types (ehem) and point out all these little nickel-and-dime issues to get a grand or two knocked off the price... and then you laugh about how absurd those trivial things are afterwards. Meanwhile I've bought used cars that didn't HAVE interiors before (well, they had the space...just not the upholstry).

Guys...I absolutely agree. Only once it's on a lift can you really assess what kind of maintenance has been done. And, even then, it's a bit of a crapshoot cause you can't pull everything apart. Plus, everyone has their own level of tolerance to what is acceptable wear & tear (me, the 'buy' decision is a lot of 'gut instinct'...which can be harder on dealer owned cars since you can't talk to the PO). But like I said, everyone has their own comfort level....

I would be interested, tho, to see if/how it checks out....

So i went and looked at this for a Florida fanatic a couple of weeks ago, and it really didn't look bad at all, i snapped some cell phone shots, and figured i would report back here, now that i know he doesn't want it.

Notice the VCG was recently replaced, and they used way too much rtv as you can see.

Since there's no E46 M3 sedan this is pretty much my dream car. Maybe an M3 vert for the weekend ^_^

I did not drive it, so I can not vouch for it, but I will say that the shifter felt nice and tight, which makes me want to refresh my shifter assembly.

I would buy it, if i were in the market, however, I doubt its even still on the lot.

Oh wow did they go overboard with the sealant hahaha. That looks terrible, but I'm sure it doesn't leak.

Sold it to some punk kid (probably in high-school) on craigslist. Yes, I had a car deal pending and needed the cash for a 10% down payment before a check cashed.
