Unlocking the doors
Sometimes my key fob will unlock all the doors when I push the button twice but at times it'll just open driver side. When it does the doors when they unlock sound almost like they are struggling to do so. Is this the key fob issue or something with the door locks?

Sometimes mine will only unlock the drivers door even after pressing twice. I will have to relock the car, then unlock it 'twice' again for both doors to open.
Never really thought anything of it. Now that I think about I would also like to know why this happens.

Sounds likely a GM5 module issue, however, weak keybob and/or a weak battery in the car could also contribute to this as well.
Suggest you check the link below in my signature regarding door locks. Also you did not mention what year your car is and whether or not you have auto door locking enabled on the car. If your car is a 2003 or older then I would start to question the GM5 module.

Scott, you may have more info because of the repairs you do and the amount of questions you answer, however, my reference was based upon me only really seeing the older cars having issue, usually between year 9-10. I am sure younger cars may have issues as well, but I have only run across about 6-7 cars with issues so far myself.
I also see that if auto door locks enabled the door locks get far more operation cycles over the same period of time as a car that does not have the auto door locking enabled.
