For 150 bucks I think even if they don't look good to you, you'd definately be able to resell em for a profit I think those would look great on an e46

+1 I just spent $150 on winter wheels that don't look nearly that good. Do it!

But, wait, do you plan to put them on your e46? Those are from an e90, right? 17 x 8? I think the offest is ~10mm different. I'd check fit carefully. Even if they don't fit, if they are in good shape, you should be able to resell for a profit. |

Offset is 34 mm. Both my style 45 (16 x 7) winter wheels and my 17 x 8 style 44s have an offset of 47 mm.
The difference is ~1/2 inch. This means that the inside edge of the wheel will be that much closer to the suspension than on my style 44s. From a "what does this look like" perspective, those 8" style 285s will have the same tucked-in appearance of my 7" wheels. Others may know for certain. But it takes only 5 mins to check for clearance. I'd do this especially if the tires are larger than 225/45. |

I have 17 x 8.5 offset and that's about the maximum limit the fenders can handle.

It will stick out 1/2" more than wheels that were delivered with the E46.
But enough back and forth with the electrons. It's a friend selling them, right? The best way to find out is to take 5 mins to mount a wheel and check in the real world. Last edited by sunsetcoast; 10-09-2012 at 05:29 PM. |

They should fit perfectly flush with no rubbing. I tried a set of the 17" 5 spoke coupe wheels from an e92 and they looked great and didn't rub didn't buy them because the seller asked way to much for them and wouldn't accept my offer
