I'll tell you what, the coffee from Bean There Coffeehouse and walking around looking at cars certainly cured my hangover. First time going, pretty chill.

Was considering doing straight pipes from rear axle back and using tips. found these but saw their price, figure 200 flat with shipping included plus 50-75 for cutting/welding. For that much, I reckon I might as well spend the extra cash and buy the Rogue Ikon and just do it right the first time. Thoughts?

My Ride: IR M3 Vert.
Made it back from Ohio to Florida with the M.
Slight headache and can't stop grinning.
Lost a turn signal in KY tho. Hit an expansion joint so hard I thought I would've lost all 4 tires. Was doing 85 when I hit it. Thing had no signs or nothing. I was lucky. But I guess it knocked the turn signal lose.

Car pulls like a freight train and ridiculously fast... and thirsty. I dare not touch sport mode.

I'm about ready to give the sedan away at this point. It's def made me not want to even drive it at this point because the M is a few universes better in EVERY single way.

Oh yeah. Alpine touchscreen HU with navi. XM stuff isn't hooked up. But I got it too.
iPod hookup and headphone jack Aux connection.
Upper center console compartment door is broken I think. Can't close it.
All very minor stuff. Got it all for $14k.
Took the stock HU, diffuser and headers. Told him to toss the rest.

[pic removed cause shitty quality/composition ]

Trying to get flush and lower, I've got about 4.25-4.5" clearance in the front I'm trying to get down to ~3" and I've got about 20mm space in the rear and 13mm in the front for flush. Which would ideally just be a 20mm spacer in the rear and 12-13mm spacer in the front. However, my tires would rub, hard, even if I roll/cut the inside of my fenders. Currently sitting on 19x8.5 et40 with 235/35/19. Even if I wanted to stretch, the smallest tire in this size would be a 215/35 or 225/35, which wouldn't be much of a stretch at all. I think I'd have to use a 215/35 and still roll/cut fenders in order to get flush with spacers. Also, a drop to 215/35 would only be about a 1/4-3/4" drop in height, so I'd have to add some degree of camber to get the height I wanted. Adding camber could mean I may not need to roll/cut fenders. My only concern with camber is that because of the higher offset I may hit my coilovers, I'm a bit close now, as is.

I like the wheels I have on now, so I'm not in a rush to swap them, but it's going to be a lot of work to get the car to sit the way I'd like to with them. I think what the easiest thing to do would be to chalk up these 19's as a learning experience and move on to 17 or 18's with better fitment. Currently debating between TE37 Reps and ACS Type 2s. Rota Grids/TE37 reps look a little too aggressive for a sedan, but because of their availability/price they're a strong favorite. What I'd really like to do is find a set of 18" ACS Type 2 with a nice offset because I love the concavity of them. I like LM's and Style 5's a lot, but they're so overplayed by everyone right now. But, if I could find a set of Style 5's for the right price, I probably wouldn't turn them down.

Still newish to the whole wheel/offset/tire matching.

- Also, saving for the RE Ikon exhaust, but I had a setback when I lost my glasses at the ABR concert on Friday and had to buy new ones today. Hoping I can sell my OEM wheels here soon to make up the loss and then buy/install the exhaust before the end of the month.

Edit: Noticed my headlight trim doesn't seem to want to sit flush anymore. The bottom of the outsides don't seem to snap/stay in place. Any ideas?

Not sure why whole post isn't showing, but that's a less than $10 fix and 30 seconds on your time or less.

Care to elaborate? Not something I ever cared to look into since I'm not a big picture taker.

Search on eBay or amazon for your desired color of back plate (if you have a 4/4s). MOST come with the tool needed (star shaped driver) and all you do is take out the screws and slide the back plate off and slide the new one on. Some of them suck and crack on install so be sure to read the reviews before hand.

Snik, good news, I might have actual pictures up tonight of the E36 finally after all the stance/wheel/fender work. Took some on Saturday, but dont know what they look like since I didnt remember to upload them this weekend. I'll try to get to it tonight.

Things still on the to-do list:
215/45 rear tires
8k/10k spring rate swap out
'92 front bumper
Paint BBS lip and bumper to mount up.

Might see about a fresh nose panel too since I'm painting the other things and freshen up the front end, but thats cost dependant more than anything. Also, on the horizen I see some nice OT coming so that's awesome. Nothing like I was seeing earlier this year, but more than I've seen in the past few months.

Good news. Contacted the original owner of the M.
Dude sent me the full mod list.
No CSL headers. But instead AP headers, and DA software and pulleys.
Ssk is OEM.
Front bumper is a OE euro item.
Euro section 1 with cats.
Suspension is actually Dinan stg 2.
Splitters are Vorstiener
Hawk pads
Euro floating rotors
Stoptech SS lines.

Lots and lots of ****. He dropped $17k on the thing. :o

K, pretty much copy and paste from the PM he sent me.
Guy i got ot from ditched the CSL wheels and added OEM Xenons, they look like they had a few broken tabs, and he made it happen. He also added all LED interior lights, swapped the Dinan springs for Tein, and 20k or so miles?
