Something to think about and be thankful for!
Be honest about it, but how much time and money have each of us saved because of the of the wonderful chemist that brought us Super Glue and Epoxy!! Examples to share anyone?
Mine biggest save was after installing door speakers, the plastic retainers for the trim to stay to the door would not stay so out comes the 5 min epoxy! What a life saver! |

I wish a wonderful BMW engineer would have designed the coupe door seals better so that I don't have to keep using epoxy on them.

I dunno man, duct tape has been the de-facto ghetto fix for every auto accident. Epoxy may be giving duct tape a run for its money...

Some one mentioned screws and nails. Screws ok, nails? I had a bud of mine in the army who made front bench seat for his Nova out of 2 x 4 's and plywood!

Cable ties were first invented by Thomas & Betts, an electrical company, in 1958 under the brand name Ty-Rap. Initially they were designed for airplane wire harnesses. The original design used a metal tooth, and these can still be obtained. Thomas & Betts and others, e.g. Panduit and Hellermann, later changed to the nylon/plastic design.[2] Thomas & Betts (NYSE: TNB) is a designer and manufacturer of connectors and components for electrical and communication markets. Thomas and Betts was founded in 1898 by two young engineers from Princeton University, Robert M. Thomas and Hobart D. Betts. They formed an agency for selling conduit to electrical distributors during a time when incandescent electric lighting was first introduced to New York City. Thomas & Betts is notable as the inventor of cable ties in 1958 to facilitate assembling wire harnesses in airplanes. It has recently expanded its product offerings through the acquisition of leading brands in the Power Protection industry specifically focused on critical infrastructure. ABB acquired Thomas & Betts for $3.9 billion, or $72 a share, in 2012 to become a major player in the North American low-voltage products market.

I'm so glad Al Gore invented the Internet, and I'd bet you'd all agree. Without his invention, who would have thought that you could make a gps mount with just a zip tie. Fix an sap filter with a lawnmower part. Install an in-car hookah and urinal.
Go Interwebz!
