*Street Edge Coilovers Review *

"Slammed" stance doesn't get you very good performance or ride quality. I am also a BMW owner and these cars ride very nice from factory. There would be no way I would want lower the ride quality of the car to get more drop.

I was wondering if you would consider the lowest setting to be about the height as race springs or lower? From what I can see, they don't look that low.

I can tell you that they have settled a lot! let me find a recent photo

You said your fronts are at the lowest setting with the helper springs out? and what are the rears at?

I would really like to see what these look like on 18's or 19's on the lowest setting. And I was wondering, do you think racelands go lower than these?

Ok so recently I had some spare time and took the shocks off due to annoying chatter....
Here is the issue with them (i have my car at stock ride Height)
-the passenger shock, on the bottom, where a small tube goes inside the big tube under compression there is a plastick round black thingy, and below it is a nut with 4 holes on top of it... it got loose and the shock portion was moving up and down inside the frame of the shock itself... (video coming tomorrow)
-the passenger side the springs are the issue, at the end where the last coil is welded to the previous coil, the weld broke, and the sring actually started unwinding (both the small and the big spring) so if you grab the top spring (little one) and wiggle it side to side there is chatter as it contacts the top spring perch cide walls on the inside.. when welded it was a tight fit, now it wiggles side to side...
Also there is a thump in the back, but i am not going to blame the shocks just yet.
how should the top hat be assembled?
Because if you do the original setup like,
Big cone washer-top hat - small cone washer - then there isn't enough room for the bolt, so i am running without the bottom cone washer!

Over all, you get what you paid for... i am probably going to replace them soon.... lucky for me I do my own work so I didnt have to pay somebody to install them and remove them 3 times....

^ i think the m3 SE coilovers are different, i see only 1 spring instead of 2

after reading this post, i'm almost convince in getting these. I am definitely in need of new shocks, my shocks are bilstein sport shocks, i believe they are factory. not really sure. My ride is very bouncy, i dont like it. So i'm in need for some new stuff. I was looking at BC, KW, MEGANS, KONI FSDS, and more. I can't make up my mind, i don't want to spend much but if these are on sale and under 500. i wouldn't mind giving it a try.

THATS IS AMAZING CUSTUMER SERVICE.
That itself would make me buy a set if I didn't have one before....

I am not interested in returning them as they are the best bang for your buck coilovers out there. I finally worked out all the small kinks with them, a little bit of Loctight, and the right tool and all will be well on the passanger side.

On the Driver side I would like to get replacement springs.

As far as the thumps in the rear, I am not going to be quick to blame, because I don't know the cause of the thump yet. It could be the asssembely order of the tophat and washers, or it could be bushings.. etc...
Either way later on this year I am planning to refresh the rear bushings with polyurathane powerflex bushings and check my subframe, so I will find out the cause then.

And I will give you a call tomorow afternoon.
