Oil filter housing gasket leak! Needs an Alignment.....oh and cracked' front cf lip ( hit piece of tire on Frwy)

Got my CSL trunk lid painted. The turned out real bad. Fish eyes are all over the place and there's drip marks. Just horrible.

CCVV in my car is messed up yet again... so my engine is burning LOTS of oil. So much smoked eveyrwhere.

Last year Indy charged me almos $1000 to do it and now they want to charge me another $1000. I'm like wtf?
I dont have time to DIY this BS bceause I'm a medical student.

Need driver side ball joint ( found out last week when I did koni yellows and vogtland drop) rtab's, key remote died, a/c sucks, and outside temp sensor missing.

- Curb rash on front skirt where it's too low for wheel stops in parking lot.

The 330 is much longer than my old Miata.
~~- Many little dings in the front skirt. Won't fix until the car proves it's worth it.~~
~~- Small chip in right front quarter panel. Again won't fix immediately.~~
- Curb rash on several of the wheels. Won't do anything because I like the M3 mags.

Minor wear
- Some wear on the driver seat leather. I can live with that.
- Marked up steering wheel from previous owner's Club.

What's the point if you damage it yourself, guy.
- Some discoloration on the softtop. Can live with it.
~~- Some nics and wear on the trim panels in the dash/doors.~~
~~- Lots of nics in the cover for the ash tray and sunglass holder.~~

Here is what I plan on doing for preventative maintenance.
~~- Replace belts. They still look fine but I'll store the current ones in the trunk.~~
~~- Tensioner and idler pulleys. I'll check out repacking the bearings (forgot the post) before just replacing them.~~
~~- Coolant reservoir. How to I tell if this needs to be replaced?~~
~~- Rad hoses. Again how to I tell?~~
~~- Coolant flush.~~
~~- Spark plugs.~~
~~- Fuel filter.~~
- open to suggestions...

Here is what I've done
- Rear brakes and rotors
- Replace air filter with K&N drop in.
- Fixed hard to open doors with alen key. nice
- Replaced wipers blades. $20 from dealer just for rubber inserts!!!

Here is what I think is ok
- Front control arm ball joints
- Rear suspension bushings
- Rear subframe, I think.

Still searching for DIY on checking it.
~~- Vanos, I think. Again what to check for.~~
- Not too many rattles, but it's a convertible so most of the time the top is down and I probably can't hear them.

And most importantly...I'm not in it!!! Got to go for a drive.

This forum has made my purchase very enjoyable.

Updated to show just what I was able to accomplish in the last year on my BMW. I can honestly say that the car is in much better condition than when I bought it.

Very cool considering I always to my cars to the mechanic before this BMW. Thanks to everyone on this forum for all the great DYIs and help over the past year and Merry Christmas.

Next year I'm going to dig into the intake side of the engine.
- Replace the heater hoses
~~- Check/clean the ICV~~
- Check/replace the oil separator
- what else should I look into on that side?

Here's what I've done over the past couple of years.
- Dr Colorchip to hide all the dings and nics in the paint.
- Cleaned out the ICV
- Replaced the fuel filter
- Replaced passenger window regulator
- Fixed passenger door lock
- Replaced final stage resistor
- Replaced cabin filter
- Replaced battery
- Replaced pre-cat O2 sensors

Here's what is still to be done:
- Tires are nearly done, new tires and suspension overhaul next spring

- Blistein sport dampers
- swaybar end links
- swaybar bushings
- RCAB with spacers
- Alignment

- Oil Separator Value probably needs replacing
- Oil filter housing gasket will be replaced on next oil change
- Oil level sensor will be replaced on next oil change

Right now it is running and looking better than ever.
