iPhone cable

Called the local dealer to order the aux input cable (part #82-11-0-149-389) I have an 03 with a sv50 software head unit. Guy at the dealer told me it wouldn't work with an iPod/iPhone ? I'm 99% sure he doesn't know what he's talking about. Am I right?

The cable should connect to the aux of the iPhone Or any mp3 with aux port. he probably meant it won't connect through the iPhone connector itself..

According to the DIY i followed 82-11-0-149-389 should work with anything after a late 2002 build. You should be fine.
