Go to TireRack, buy the H&R sport cupkit, and be done with it.
Nobody said spring weren't the way to go, you just need to match the rest of the suspension with it. Cupkit comes with everything, serriously just go buy it. |

I mean its up to you but the kit is not much cheaper than coilovers. I would save up money and get some nice midrange coilovers like ST coilovers or BC BR coilovers.
If you get springs and use stock shocks, you will eventually want/need to upgrade your suspension. Good Luck!

You asked for an opinion. It seems you just want to convince yourself at this point.
Please warn me if you ever drive up to Toronto so I know to stay off the roads those days. |

For a daily i guess its ok.I have heard mixed things about Racelands. Some people say its good for the money spent and some say "you get what you pay for" If I were you, I would have at least gotten Megan Coilovers. Or D2 coilovers.
You will be ok.

Listen to sedanpowers, he's right. But if you really want to go lower, get coilovers. But be prepared to replace your dampers/shocks and other suspension parts sooner than expected. Not to mention, BMW's already ride low which is why we have to replace our struts sooner.

And yes you will screw the car up by just lowering the car with springs. I had a Mazda 3 I decided to lower by only using Tein s springs. It drove like garbage, lol.

You're being too impatient. Give yourself a few weeks and study up on suspension options. Trust me when I say that you'll spend way more going with cheap parts. IMO I would go no less than H&R cup kit for springs/struts and ST for coilovers. No matter what you hear about Racelands, don't do it.
Here is how i predict your future if you go with a cheap suspension... You'll buy Racelands for $400 add $200 for replacement rear struts and when you get sick of the "still" sh*tty ride you'll sell it to a chump on e46f for no more than $150. You will then end up buying ST's or any other "real" coilover system... And in the end spend $450 above MSRP. Get it? Save up and buy one set that will satisfy you for the life of your car.
