Search the 'car won't start' threads...use advanced/title search for 'no start' in the title...stuff like that.

There are many reasons you might get stranded...but among the biggies here, I'd say an issue with cooling system--or busted belt, fuel pumps fail pretty regularly, batteries go dead and the car won't re-start. Sometimes it's ignition switch, neutral safety switch, bad key...

There's a long list of issues. Subframe is something you should read up on more. Again, search using a 'title search.' Check your subframe soon if you haven't already. If there's an issue, maybe you have some recourse for returning the car and getting your money back.

What you see here are posts from people who have issues. Most who don't have issues, don't post.

The odds are good that your car will strand you someday, but it won't be every day, and it will be greatly more reliable if you read Fanatics, study up, and start attending to maintenance.

Read up, don't panic, check subframe.

Don't panic quite just yet...give it a week or two at least!

You know there are 200K members here who've not only documented problems, but solutions too.

Chances of being stranded are like any other car. There member here who never had any issues, except for the usual maintanence. Make sure preventive maintanence is up to date and enjoy your ride.

Don't worry OP. These cars are like any other. I have had mine for 3 years. Stranded once (fuel pump). My friend has had his for over 5 years and has never been stranded. You just need to take care of the car. You'll be fine. Enjoy the car.

Find the 'how to check subframe' thread and make sure your mechanic checks on it...or lets you look while the car is up in the air.

Clean up around rear 'rear axle carrier' bushings--#2 and 4--read 'subframe' threads and know what to look for. See my thread with subframe in title...there's a picture there of my crack.
