Starting off right! First car : 2000 328ci

Just picked up my first car (I'm only 17), and I have to say how in love I am with my BMW. I figured after scrolling through this board for over a year it was finally time for me to upgrade from wishing I had a BMW to actually buying one. I'm not the most knowledgeable about cars, and if there's anyone out there kind enough to get me started on the right path is be extremely grateful. Other than the apparent weak subframe, is their anything else I should be cautious of? The car is at 200000km but is in pretty good condition for its age and mileage , but is there any upgrades that you guys cant live without that you'd recommend? Sorry for being all over the place but I'm just so excited to be apart of the bimmer family that I can't help it...

First of all welcome! And second of all you should do maintenance before mods, you don't want a good looking car that don't even start or worst of all cant beat a Honda lol
I hope I made this clear

Cooling system is critical. Take care of that now, otherwise soon enough you will be on the side of the road stranded.

Take care of the subframe before you do anything . They were weaker on 2000 e46s more than any other year of e46, and it seems like they don't crack but more rip out the entire floor or the car. Look into that then enjoy the car!

Just fixed my subframe today. Took a buddy and I about 4 hrs to cut it apart and weld it back together. It has 196 thousand on it and it's still running strong
