The head is the most restrictive part of our engines, no matter the displacement. Just a simple polish of the OE head castings can improve the flow and increase torque and HP. Why is this hard to understand?

picking up an intake mani next week for 50 bucks
the flange for the head will run me 80 bucks velocity stacks no idea i gotta do some research... Iceman gimme specs for my custom mani!!! Not from my iphone

I have built a custom intake and intake box all made of aluminu
And custom strut bar like no other and was thinking of starting to sell Them to all fanatics check out my pic hard to see till I Post more close up pics and also pics of fabrication process Let me know what u think also built custom exhaust all stainless steel Havent posted pics every thing is tig welded I have weld and fab shop Thinking of building intake manifold but need to machine the mounting Flang but dont know where to go from there dont know how To actualy gain hp by just incressing volume of mani or what need help From real knoledgable people, research is not cheap. Lol lots of negativity in this thread. Lets see:
11.5:1 high compression pistons (stock CR is closer to 10:1) 272 cams extensive headwork to flow a claimed 85% more than stock Id believe 280+ whp from this setup. On a 4 cylinder car, every point you raise the CR is worth 20+whp, after a full dyno re-tune.

i have considered in stalling e90 manifold they seem less restrictive to me but you have to mate the injectors and other electronics

Fyi, don't use the disa valves from the E90 mani, I had one come apart and get stuck in #6 intake valve, somehow the valve didn't get bent.
If there is room in the m54 head, you could machine some holes for the injectors & fab a custom fuel rail. Assuming the intake ports match up to the m54 head.

That's what i was thinking but he was making it sound like it isnt too hard, but from what i understand the manifold isnt the bottle cap but the actual head is so im wondering why even go through the trouble swapping manifolds if it wasnt pretty simple to swap or worth any real gains
