LED Conversion

So i have already purchased and converted all interior to LED's, my dash cluster is Blue LED and today have done my reverse lights now it is on to the little things which matter most. I am starting with window controls i have pulled out my multimeter and the main voltage before it hits stock resistor is 12v.

12v + BMW Resistor = 2v for 3 mm Amber LED

For my 3mm White LED the min voltage needed 2.8 using ledcalc.com it tells me i will need a 470 ohm 1/4 watt resistor to make my led nice and bright

LED Chart:

-Sunroof Switch = PLCC2 SMD LED
-Door Lock = 5mm LED
-Window Switches = 3mm LED (Needs 470 Ohm 1/4 watt resistor)
-Cluster = PLCC2 SMD LED
-Ashtray = 3mm LED
-Shifter = PLCC2 SMD LED
-Climate Control = PLCC2 SMD LED
-Heated Seat, Stereo, etc... = PLCC2 SMD LED & 0805 SMD LED
-HeadLight Control = PLCC2 SMD LED & 3mm LED

Ya tried to fix something that ain't broke... just kidding. Figuring out the solutions are half the fun in modding, that is, so long as one can still drive the car and get to work on time! Hah!

I made an LED chart for people of what I have been seeing inside switches. I wasnt able to find in forums so i made it easy and made chart. Tonight I have just finished modding my sunroof switch and windows switches, and what a pain in the ass the window lock LED was. In the picture below you will notice a cream square with hole in center the hole is where old amber LED was and i just bent it back and forth until it broke off. On the right of square you will notice the white LED I put in THIS IS HOW YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSE TO DO IT. The LED wasn't centered like it was suppose to be so instead of white color I was getting creamish red color... ilk. I have to run to the store real quick but I will show you how I did it and made it work.

be careful when you solder keep switches away i had made a mistake and solder gun tapped the lock switch now there it a little light spot and i know you are wondering where center console is and shifter they are being worked on. center console is getting rubber coating taken off, painted black, and clear coated. the shifter is sexy tho the p, r, n, etc. are white while the indicator led which is next to each symbol is blue

Uh, oh, now the radio looks a little amber-ish. Are you going in Doctor? Where did marketing come up with that name anyway? Doesn't inspire coolness or musicness or stereoness. Business? Really?

Looks tedious but I'm sure the result will be great. Not sure why anyone doesn't love orange though.
