Is there a dedicated unit?
Have been using my wifes F25 for a few days now and I am really growing fond of the bluetooth streaming audio. I have a USA SPEC unit + spec dock and it's nice, but I would much prefer a unit that streamed my music and let me take calls over the cars speakers.
With that being said, I know there are units out there like dice and grom that do that, but is there a specific unit that connects to the factory stereo to only allow bluetooth streaming and allowing you to take calls via an included microphone? I would prefer something simple that just connects, set the mic up and you're good to go. Anyone? Last edited by fastsoup; 10-26-2012 at 11:23 AM. |

I found a kenwood kdc-699 that I like.
Rather than go DICE and add bluetooth functionality to a stock stereo I think the preferable way is to upgrade to an aftermarket stereo for less than $300 (or much less if you want) that has better audio and more features. With a head unit costing the same or less than DICE I see no reason not to upgrade. The wiring / install is easy with the adapter kits available. on the cheap, there is a great post in the audio subforum about a DIY type interface that seems much cheaper. search too, there are tons of threads on the topic |

Note my comment about remaining stock. I don't want to change the look of the interior at all. Thanks anyways. |
