Finding leaks using oil dye and black light?
I surprised there arent any threads about this.
How come people here don't just use oil dye and UV light to find leaks? Does it harm the engine? Usually a very small amount is added. And these days you can buy nice micro pen type LED UV lights to fit in hard to reach areas. |

I don't really think it's necessary, personally. Oil leaks are pretty obvious, if you know what you're looking for.
