Convince me NOT to get this Mercedes Benz SL500 AMG !

I always loved these cars.

There is one at the auction block tomorrow and im thinking of bidding on it.

There is only 1 photo.

Only 100K miles.

Its only 2 seater of course but for some reason I love the square boxy look.

HUGE V8 engine. Rear Wheel Drive.

It has an AMG badge and AMG wheels. No idea if its a real AMG. On wiki pedia it says only less than 300 SL were actually AMG so I might have hit a gold mine.

For some reason I couldn't open the hood because the latch was broken to see what kind of engine. Also the drivers side headlight was completely loose. You could pretty much take it out with your hand without having the open the engine bay.

Judging by the mess left inside the car it was most likely owned by a woman, so at least its lady driven.

Hopefully its not a fake AMG badge like I see on most newer benzes. Atleast its easy to tell its a fake because the actual model numbers are different on real AMGs, but the old ones may have been different.

its snow not foam...
and yes... old Benz = money pit and hard to find parts.
Just think at this milage your e46 requires basic + major maintenance... this will as well
